You can’t go wrong with food in Sicily. From meat to seafood, traditional or modern, all meals are an excellent opportunity to savour something new. Sicily also boats a great selection of wines, both red and white. Ice-creams are to die for and locals you can find open shops selling them into the wee hours of the morning. A local treat is ice-cream with brioche. And there’s always pizza. It’s virtually impossible to have bad pizza in Sicily.
Sicily boasts two active volcanos: Etna and Stromboli. The latter is is part of the paradisiac Aeolian Islands.
Sicily has a beautiful coastline of fantastic beaches and rugged peaks.
